Singapore Pools is the sole legal lottery operator in Singapore, established in 1968 under the Ministry of Finance and Gambling Regulatory Authority to provide a safe, regulated betting environment. Its 4D game uses four-digit numbers from 0000 to 9999.

While the 23-number result board is similar to Malaysian lotteries, Singapore Pools uses its own distinct entry terminology, betting slips, draw schedules, and payout scales.

Singapore Pools entry types and bet slips

When placing a 4D bet with Singapore Pools, players can select from several official entry types: Ordinary Entry (one exact 4-digit number), 4D Roll (rolling one digit 0-9 for 10 combinations), System Entry (full Box permutations at full stake), and i-Bet (shared-stake permutation entry starting at $1).

You can also opt for QuickPick, where the system randomly generates numbers for you. Each entry can be placed as an "Ordinary" (Big bet) or "Small" bet, with minimum stakes starting at SGD 1.00.

  • Ordinary Entry: Straight bet on 1 exact 4-digit sequence.
  • 4D Roll: Rolls 1 digit (R) from 0-9, producing 10 entries (e.g. R123).
  • System Entry: Full Box permutation (e.g. 24 entries for 4 unique digits).
  • i-Bet: Permutation play sharing a $1 minimum stake with proportional payouts.

Draw schedule and reading the board

Singapore Pools conducts 4D draws every Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday at 6:30 PM SGT at the Singapore Pools Main Branch (210 Middle Road, Singapore 188994). Draws are conducted publicly with strict security protocols.

The board features 23 numbers: 1st Prize, 2nd Prize, 3rd Prize, 10 Starter prizes, and 10 Consolation prizes. On a $1 Big bet, 1st Prize pays $2,000, 2nd pays $1,000, 3rd pays $490, Starter pays $250, and Consolation pays $60 (RTP: 65.9%). On a $1 Small bet, 1st pays $3,000, 2nd pays $2,000, and 3rd pays $800 (RTP: 58.0%).

Claiming Singapore Pools prizes and rules

For physical tickets, prizes up to SGD 5,000 can be claimed in cash at any Singapore Pools branch or retail outlet. Prizes exceeding SGD 5,000 must be claimed at the Singapore Pools Main Branch located at 210 Middle Road during operating hours, paid via cheque with NRIC or valid Passport.

For bets placed through a verified Singapore Pools Account, winnings are credited directly into your account balance. All claims must be made within 180 days of the draw date. In Singapore, lottery winnings are treated as capital windfalls and are 100% non-taxable.
